Applications are accepted from the following territories (based on citizenship): Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan.
Eligible candidates are professionals from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.
As a substitute to a test taken, other proof of language proficiency may be provided (e.g. confirmation by grammar school, university or employer).
Short-listed applicants will have to demonstrate their English language skills during a phone interview.
At least 1 reference(s) must be provided.
A motivation letter must be added to your application.

• What is your main motivation to participate in the Programme?
At least 2 years of professional experience in the public sector, non-governmental organisation or academia;
EU-approved or WHO-approved vaccines: Pfizer-BioNTech, Moderna, AstraZeneca, Johnson & Johnson, Novavax, Sinopharm, Sinovac, Bharat Biotech.
Specific requirements for Non-EU applicants:
Applicants who have previously issued Schengen visa(s) (or currently valid for the Programme period) may additionally submit copies, as this information will be necessary immediately after selection process.
The Intensive Programme is developed for professionals from public administration, NGOs and academia with at least two years of work experience.
Over a period of 6 weeks, from 9 May until 16 June, the Programme provides comprehensive training on the legal, economic and political functioning of the European Union. In addition, the Programme includes a study visit to Brussels for in-person meetings in the European Parliament, the European Commission, the European External Action Service, and other EU institutions.
Participating countries or specific regions are decided upon by the Programme donors.
Eligible countries for the Spring 2022 session are Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan.
Spring 2022 Intensive Programme will offer the following courses: EU Law and Integration, Economic Development and International Trade, Fundamental Rights, Good Governance and Anti-Corruption, Legislative Drafting and the Rule of Law and Digitalization and e-governance.
Upon passing of exams and completion of the Programme, participants receive a certificate of programme completion and 1.5 ECTS for each course.
The Programme is free of charge.
This Programme is funded by the United States of America and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Latvia. All costs associated with the Programme are covered by Programme donors.
