Overview
The Intensive Programme is developed for professionals from public administration, NGOs and academia with at least two years of work experience.
Over a period of 6 weeks, from 9 November until 16 December, the Programme provides comprehensive training on the legal, economic and political functioning of the European Union. In addition, the Programme includes a study visit to Brussels for in-person meetings in the European Parliament, the European Commission, the European External Action Service, and other EU institutions.
Participating countries or specific regions are decided upon by the Programme donors.
Eligible countries for the Autumn 2022 session are Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Egypt, Georgia, Jordan, Kosovo, Moldova, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Palestine, Serbia, Ukraine.
Programme structure
Autumn 2022 Intensive Programme will offer the following mandatory courses: EU Law, EU Integration, European Political Economy, Legislative Drafting and the Rule of Law, Digitalization and e-governance, and Project Management for Public Sector.
Upon passing of exams and completion of the Programme, participants receive a certificate of programme completion and 1.5 ECTS for each course.
The Programme is free of charge.
This Programme is funded by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Latvia and the United States of America. All costs associated with the Programme are covered by Programme donors.
