Territory requirements | Applications are accepted from the following territories (based on citizenship): Armenia, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, Uzbekistan. Candidates from other countries are not eligible for this call. |

Language requirements | English As a substitute to a test taken, other proof of language proficiency may be provided (e.g. confirmation by grammar school, university or employer). Short-listed applicants will have to demonstrate their English language skills during an interview. |

Overview
The Intensive Programme is developed for professionals from public administration, NGOs and academia with at least two years of work experience.
Over a period of 6 weeks, from 16 February until 29 March, the Programme provides comprehensive training on the legal, economic, and political functioning of the European Union. In addition, the Programme includes a study visit to Brussels for in-person meetings in the European Parliament, the European Commission, the European External Action Service, and other EU institutions.
Participating countries or specific regions are decided upon by the Programme donors.
Due to unforeseen circumstances, study dates may change.
Programme structure
Spring 2025 Intensive Programme will offer the following courses: EU Law, Reforms to Strengthen the Rule of Law in EU Candidate Countries, Fundamental Rights, European Political Economy, Good Governance and Anti-corruption and EU Integration.
Upon passing of exams and completion of the Programme, participants receive a certificate of programme completion and 1.5 ECTS for each course.
The Programme is free of charge.
This Programme is funded by the United States of America and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Latvia. All costs associated with the Programme are covered by Programme donors.
